Will H. Dixon

1879 - 1917

About

Will H. Dixon was an acclaimed composer, performer, pianist and conductor in the realms of both Classical and popular music. In many ways he personifies the genre-fluid, boundary-bending intersectionality of Romanticism of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, as he wrote music in genres ranging from minstrel songs and vaudeville lyrics, through instrumental foxtrots, marches, tangos, two-steps, and waltzes, to operas.
