Hilbert Stewart (1885-1930) was a noted pianist and composer. Not much has been written on this artist. He was best known for his art songs composed in the last portion of his life such as “Love Song” (1918), “Day and Night” (1925), and “Study War No More” (1923). Stewart was also the uncle of noted soprano and composer Shirley Stewart Farmer.
