Everett Williams (b. 1950) is a music educator, pianist, organist, and composer. He holds both a Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. He has composed a major opera on the life of Dr. Martin Luther King which he is presently working on for its premiere performance. His teaching career spans more than thirty years and he presently serves as a choral music teacher in Montgomery County, Maryland, as well as the Director of Music and Worship Arts at the Asbury United Methodist Church of Washington DC. He is a member of the National Association of Negro Musicians, the American Choral Directors Association, among other noteworthy organizations. His accomplishments include being a National Teaching Fellow, an Outstanding Young Man of America, and he is chairman of the music department at Allen University in Columbia, South Carolina.
